TATTLE TAPE
Brand name of the 3M detection system in use in MORGAN LIBRARY. See also BOOK DETECTION SYSTEM.
TECH TEAM
Composed of staff who regularly work in the EIC and Journal Room, the Tech Team meets twice each month to remain current in technical skills, enhance communication, and optimize service to the public.
TECHNICAL REPORTS
Publications which report results of research or development, often conducted or sponsored by the U.S. Government. Considered to be "unpublished" in part because of their limited distribution, rapid obsolescence, and method of reproduction (multilith, mimeograph, xerox, MICROFICHE, etc.)
TECHNICAL REPORT NUMBER
A report number assigned to a TECHNICAL REPORT.
TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION
One of the divisions of the Libraries, composed of the following services:  ACQUISITIONS, CATALOGING, and PRESERVATION.
TEI
See TEXT ENCODING INITIATIVE.
TELNET
Software program that allows a PC to remotely log into another system via INTERNET.
TENURED FACULTY COMMITTEE (TFC)
Elected by tenured members of the Libraries Faculty to advise the DEAN of Libraries on reappointment, award of tenure, and promotion of CSU librarians.
TERMINAL
See COMPUTER TERMINAL.
TEXT ENCODING INITIATIVE
Initially launched in 1987, the TEI is an international and interdisciplinary standard that helps libraries, museums, publishers, and individual scholars represent all kinds of literary and linguistic texts for online research and teaching, using an encoding scheme that is maximally expressive and minimally obsolescent. TFC

THESAURUS, SUBJECT
Listing of SUBJECT HEADINGS or terminology in a particular field of study or for a specific INDEX or DATABASE. Usually gives related terms, broader terms and narrower terms.
THESIS
Written report of research by a master’s student.
THIN CLIENT
A thin client is a small, network computer that has no hard drive and does not perform any local data processing. Thin clients are designed to use software applications (such as Word or Excel) that are installed on a server.
TITLE
Distinguishing name of a work.
TITLE CHANGE
Usually a SERIAL publication, which has undergone a change in its title proper.
TITLE ENTRY
Record of a work in the CATALOG under the title.
TITLE MERGE
Two or more SERIAL titles merge to form 1 (one) single title.
TITLE PAGE
One of the preliminary pages of a book with the title, the author's (editor's, etc.) name and imprint.  The title page is usually used as the primary source of information for cataloging information. VERSO, or back of the title page usually carries the COPYRIGHT DATE.
TITLE SPLIT
One SERIAL title which splits into two or more different titles.`
TRIANON COLLECTION
Large private collection of rare books purchased from the Trianon Foundation in Colorado Springs.  It is now housed in UNIVERSITY ARCHIVES.
TRUNCATE
In shortening a word, to cut off at a given point as opposed to abbreviation. Used in computer searching to retrieve variants of a word or a list of items beginning with a phrase or string of characters.
TSH
Technical Services Heads. 
TSF
Technical Services Faculty.
TSS
Technical Services Supervisors.
TYMNET
International, public telecommunications network which connects a COMPUTER TERMINAL to the VENDOR whose DATABASE is being searched.
