SERIAL issues not received, needing to be claimed.GARST PHOTOGRAPHIC COLLECTION The Warren and Genevieve Garst Photographic Collection contains nearly 20,000 wildlife slides donated to Colorado State University Libraries by Warren and Genevieve (Genny) Garst . These slides were photographed over a period of 25 years as the Garsts traveled to Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Americas while filming for Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom television series. More than 700 animal species, including mammals, reptiles, birds, insects and aquatic wildlife are represented within this slide collection.GDAG Government Documents Advisory Group.GENERAL REFERENCE See REFERENCE AREA.GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS See GIS.GERMANS FROM RUSSIA COLLECTION Housed in UNIVERSITY ARCHIVES, The Sidney Heitman Germans from Russia Collection is named in honor of the late Dr. Heitman to recognize his years of research and teaching about this ethnic group, the second largest in Colorado. The collection documents early migration to Colorado settlements, religious and family matters, occupations and social mobility. Formats include books, journal articles, theses, dissertations, oral history tapes and transcripts, photographs, manuscripts and government publications. Most of the collection is in English, but there is a portion of German language material.GIFT Materials donated to the LIBRARIES which may or may not be added to the collection.GIFTS AND EXCHANGE Section of ACQUISITIONS SERVICES which acts as a contact point for donor inquiries and offers of in-kind gifts. This section processes donations and establishes new gift serial subscriptions through either the exchange program or as a gift standing order with other domestic/foreign institutions and publishers. Staff also handles exchange of unneeded materials through the DUPLICATE EXCHANGE UNION (DEU) or other exchange groups. This section offers material not needed by the Library to the Overseas Development Network (ODN), other campus departmental Libraries, other libraries, or community organizations. Materials are also put on FREEBIE shelves for PATRONS or sold in occasional book sales if not purchased with state or federal funds.GIFT IN-KIND GIFTS-IN-KIND include non-cash assets in the form of securities, real estate or personal property. CSUL also accepts equipment, works of art or other tangible personal property.GIS Geographic Information System An information system that is designed to work with data referenced by spatial or geographic coordinates.GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS U.S. Government Documents. CSUL is a member. Formerly known as BIG TWELVE PLUS (BTP) Libraries Consortium.GREEN RESERVE Green Reserve is a subset of general RESERVES. It contains library-related materials put there for an indefinite timeframe.
