The MARC record describes the title being cataloged as it was published; contains both descriptive and subject entries; pertains to all copies of that edition. Also called BIB RECORD.BIBLIOGRAPHY List of books or periodical articles, usually on a particular subject. National bibliographies may include all books published in a particular language or in a specific geographical area. The current 23 members are associated with the universities of the Big 12 Athletic Conference and other research institutions in its geographic proximity. They are the market leader in combining traditional bookselling expertise with the latest developments in library technology.BLACKWELL'S COLLECTION MANAGER (COLLECTION MANAGER) Many libraries around the world are using this library workflow support system for their collection development and acquisition needs. Collection Manager provides access to a database of over 2 million bibliographic records representing the top scholarly and academic titles in the world. Collection Manager is used to place orders directly with Blackwell's or can be used with the MARC export feature to create selection lists with ordering information. BLOG Short for Web log, a blog is a WEB PAGE that consists of dated postings, usually current and containing links to other sites, with content ranging from personal information to organizational or corporate information. Librarians also create blogs as one form of publishing information about current trends in the library field. BNA Blackwell/North America.
