Finding Aids

Finding aids provide a description and complete inventory of individual collections. Finding aids are stored in Encoded Archival Description (EAD) format. Includes some collections of the Water Resources Archive, Colorado Agricultural Archive, and Manuscripts.

Search a database of digital objects from the Digital Collections (powered by CONTENTdm).

Search Library Catalog

To search the CSU SAGE library catalog for materials housed in the Archives and Special Collections Department (rare books, maps, dissertations, theses, university publications, etc.):

  1. Go to the SAGE home page.
  2. From the Location pull-down menu, select
    A > Archives / Special Collections
    .
  3. Type in a search term and click Search as usual.
    • In the list of search result records, the Location is either ARCHIVES or multi (multiple locations including Archives).
  4. Retrieve the full listings of a single record.
    • LOCATION is SPECIAL for books and maps, or ARCHIVES for dissertations and theses.
